What is RFID tracking, and when is it worth it? 

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. Each asset gets a small passive chip. It requires no battery and is maintenance-free. A handheld scanner or antenna activates the chip via radio signal. The unique ID is transmitted in milliseconds. This works without a line of sight and even through packaging.

RFID vs. Barcode: The decisive difference 

Barcodes require a direct line of sight and must be scanned individually. This takes a lot of time for large inventories. RFID captures dozens of tags simultaneously and wirelessly. What takes an hour with a barcode scanner is done in a fraction of the time with RFID.

Both options are possible. Many industrial customers run Heisenware completely on-premise on their own infrastructure without external dependencies. SaaS is also available. We clarify which option fits your IT landscape in our first meeting.

Can our team customize the solution themselves?

Yes. Heisenware is built as a low-code platform. Dashboards, masks, and workflows can be adjusted visually via drag-and-drop without any programming knowledge. Many teams take over the system completely after our initial setup. We remain available as a partner for deeper adjustments.

Which scanners and RFID tags are needed?

Heisenware is hardware-independent and supports Zebra devices as well as other leading manufacturers. Our partner Dataident advises you on the specific selection based on your premises, processes, and desired coverage area.

Can the RFID solution be connected to our ERP system?
