PROBLEM

Tracking is expensive and almost never up to date

Most existing systems are too rigid or simply don't fit. The result shows up every day on the floor, as wasted time, failed audits, and frustration.

❌ Endless searching

The tools and assets your team needs are nowhere to be found exactly when they're needed most.

❌ Lists that lie

Excel sheets and manual sign-out boards are error-prone and rarely current, so nobody trusts them.

❌ Flying blind at inventory

No one knows who had an asset last. Audits stall and counting drags on for days.

SOLUTION

The modular platform for RFID tracking and inventory

Heisenware gives you ready-to-use building blocks for asset tracking. Connect your RFID hardware, databases, and ERP in record time. Build it yourself, or bring us your requirements.

zebra

Hardware that just connects

Pre-built connectors for RFID hardware like Zebra scanners and antennas. No manual wiring, no long setup.

Drag-and-drop builder

Create exactly the interfaces your team needs: a check-out tablet, a mobile scanner view, an inventory dashboard. All visual, all without code.

One central database

Keep every app, location, and record in one place. Use the built-in database or connect your existing SQL or ERP system.

Reliable data, the moment you scan

Hardware and software have to work as one. Only the right scanners paired with your app give you error-free data in real time.

✅ Bulk scanning

Capture dozens of assets at once, with no line of sight. One pass with the handheld scanner covers an entire room.

✅ Automatic live sync

The system shows instantly what's there, what's missing, and where it belongs. Every read flows straight into the central database, no manual entry.

✅ Complete history

Who scanned an asset last, when, and where? One tap gives you the answer, so annual inventory and audits are simple.

USE CASES

One platform, many tracking jobs

RFID is rarely just one thing. Because you build your own apps on one data source, the same platform covers the use cases your team actually has.

Find tools and assets fast

Stop the daily hunt. See who has which tool or key, and where it is right now.

Continuous inventory and audits

Count an entire room in minutes and walk into every audit with clean, current data.

Raw material levels

Track materials right down to the barrel, so you can see at a glance whether there's enough left to run the next production order.

Time and condition monitoring

Track how long a material has been out of cold storage and trigger an alarm automatically when it's been out too long.

Equipment check-out and rental

Book assets in and out automatically as they pass an antenna, and always know what's available for the next job.

Calibration and compliance

Keep master data and deadlines per asset, and get a warning before a calibration or check is due.

CUSTOMER RESULTS

Measurable results for our customers

From large crafts businesses to global corporations, these teams use Heisenware for clean audits and full transparency across thousands of assets.

Audit-ready, with 100,000 euro saved every year

The R&D site of Delta Energy Systems in Soest runs highly individual processes that rigid standard software can't handle. With Heisenware, they built a custom system for onboarding assets and for continuous live inventory in day-to-day operations.

Paired with Zebra handheld scanners and label printers, search and inventory effort dropped by a factor of ten. Delta now saves around 100,000 euro a year in recovered search time, and internal audits have gotten far easier.

The solution saves us a massive amount of time during inventory and makes reporting for our audits much easier.

delta (1)

100% transparency over keys and tools

Daily emergency service and site work at Gaerte demand fast turnaround. Heisenware set up automatic warehouse tracking with employee RFID tags and a stationary antenna.

When someone leaves the warehouse, the booking happens automatically in the background. Unnecessary trips to the office disappear, and tool loss goes down.

The apps run seamlessly on all devices and save us a lot of time every day.

What is RFID tracking, and when is it worth it?

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. Each asset gets a small passive chip that needs no battery and no maintenance. A handheld scanner or antenna activates the chip by radio, and its unique ID is transmitted in milliseconds, with no line of sight and even through packaging.

RFID vs. barcode: the decisive difference

Barcodes need a direct line of sight and have to be scanned one at a time, which eats hours on a large inventory. RFID reads dozens of tags at once and wirelessly. What takes an hour with a barcode scanner is done in a fraction of the time.

When is RFID tracking worth it?

It pays off when you have a lot of assets that move around often, and it's a strong fit for strict audit and compliance requirements. Typical uses run from tool management, equipment rental, and annual inventory to tracking raw material levels and monitoring how long temperature-sensitive goods have been out of cold storage.

FAQ

What teams usually want to know before they start.

Does Heisenware run in the cloud or on-premise?

Both. Many industrial customers run Heisenware fully on-premise on their own infrastructure with no external dependencies, and SaaS is available too. We work out which fits your IT landscape in the first meeting.

Can our team customize the solution themselves?

Yes. Heisenware is a low-code platform, so dashboards, forms, and workflows are adjusted visually via drag-and-drop, no programming needed. Many teams take the system over completely after our initial setup, and we stay available for deeper changes.

Which scanners and RFID tags do we need?

Heisenware is hardware-independent and supports Zebra as well as other leading manufacturers. Our partner Dataident advises on the specific choice based on your premises, processes, and the coverage you want.

Can the RFID solution connect to our ERP?

Yes. Connections to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and other ERP or SQL systems are possible. If you don't have an ERP yet, or want to start quickly, you can begin with the built-in database or a simple Excel connection.
